Crown Chakra Healing and Clearing

Crown Chakra Healing

We often hear about our chakras being closed or off balance. In fact, this is one of the things I help my clients with. We align your chakras and open them so you are able to receive energy and function to your highest ability. Each chakra is very powerful and is the opening to receive certain types of energy and allow for communication from your Spirit, Guides, as well as Universal frequencies. They also hold old energy and old patterns too though which is how blocks or the unbalance occurs. For example, when a person gets hurt by a relationship or breakup, it could allow for their heart chakra to close slightly and put up a block. Clearing blocks and opening chakras depend on the individual greatly. This is because as we all know people react differently to situations and have different feelings that attach to it. The depth and strength of that block can differ, making the clearing of the block differ as well. With this in mind, the characteristics of each chakra are extensive and it would not do anyone justice to try to quickly cover all the chakras, so I am only going to discuss the crown chakra today.

The crown chakra is the seventh chakra according to most Hindu or Buddhist yoga traditions located on the top of your head above your eyebrows or slightly above your head depending on where you look. It is also connected to pure consciousness where your Spirit, Guides, and Universal frequencies communicate with you. You can see where just from knowing that, having the crown chakra blocked can cause a lot of problems, but before we dive into that, I want to touch on some other aspects of this chakra.

To start, the symbol most aligned with the crown chakra is the lotus flower. In some disciplines, it has one thousand petals symbolizing spiritual enlightenment and the complexity of it. This corresponds with the principle of this chakra being self-realization and unity with all levels of self and purpose (Spirit, Soul, Guides, Gaia). When your crown chakra is balanced and in harmony you will notice feelings of inner peace, and profound spiritual equanimity. On the flip side though, if your crown chakra is not balanced, you will have feelings of depression, listlessness, and a loss of faith in yourself and the other factors of your spiritual journey. It can lead to no sense of purpose and emptiness if blocked as well.

Unblocking The Crown Chakra

Now that those are mentioned, let’s talk about how we can unblock and open our crown chakras. There are many different ideas for how to balance the crown chakras and all chakras for that matter. I am going to tackle these ideas by different levels of yourself and senses.

Physically, the crown chakra appears in your Pituitary glands, Pineal gland, and the upper part of your brain. A physical practice that engages these is yoga. Many breathing techniques used assist in clearing and opening the crown chakra, specifically the Pranayama breathing techniques and techniques used in Yoga Nidra. According to Yoga Nidra, once you have completed 11 sessions, your intuition enhances which will assist in the opening and clearing of the crown chakra. Another type of yoga specifically used in opening the crown chakra is Jnana yoga.

Something to listen to is music. Specifically, the music note “B” correlates with the crown chakra. By listing to this note and associated frequency, it can allow for energy shifts in your field and crown chakra. There are also wonderful chakra healing tunes on iTunes or YouTube that can assist.

Energetically and spiritually, we can use crystals. I absolutely love crystals and their properties. Crystals have their own unique healing properties and each one helps with a certain chakra usually. I will not go into the detail of how each crystal works with the crown chakra, but feel free to look them up and learn more. The crystals that respond profoundly to the crown chakra are diamond, axinite, amethyst, selenite, sugilite, tanzanite, agate, alexandrite, chrysoberyl, hackmanite, and howlite to just name a few. You can see why I am not going into detail for each crystal, but here are several that you can look into since they all have properties that correspond with the crown chakra in slightly different ways.

Moving on to taste, you would not think that there are foods that assist in chakra healing, but there are many. Spices in particular assist with chakra clearings. Spices that help with the crown chakra are lavender, sage, holy basil, and lotus flower to name several. Spices assist with the crown chakra using cleansing and energizing benefits.

Essential oils are also going to be very helpful. Cedar wood, lavender, jasmine, myrrh, and rosewood are a few to use. Again I am not going to go into specific properties of each of these essential oils, but take some time and do some research. You are taking time to invest in yourself.

Open and Clear Crown Chakra

Now that we have looked at most of the senses and how to use different methods to clear and open, let’s look at a simple mantra and who you can call in for assistance. First, you can use the mantra “OM” or “I am guided! The Universe fills me with love and wisdom!” I want to just mention the significance of “OM.” When you say “OM” and draw it out almost in a chant or signing fashion it mimics the natural vibration of the Earth. When you are using it correctly, the feelings and vibration match is an incredible experience.  However, these are just a few. If neither of them resonate with you, look up other ones and find one that does. Work on setting intentions daily to work with your Guides, Spirit, and the Universal frequencies. If you need extra support, you can call in Archangel Michael or Jophiel. These Archangels have angelic vibrations and these two assist with the crown chakra immensely.

This is a lot of information for just one of our chakras right? I completely understand it can be overwhelming, but just take a breath and find out of these which works for you. Focus on that technique because what you need or what will assist your crown chakra the most will resonate with you the most. I urge you to take some time today to invest in yourself and learn about what works with your crown chakra so you can strive towards Enlightenment.
